Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) is the world's largest government-funded health insurance scheme providing ₹5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary hospitalisation. In West Bengal, eligible residents under SECC 2011 data can avail cashless treatment at empanelled hospitals. West Bengal also runs its own Swasthya Sathi scheme — both can complement each other for comprehensive health coverage.

- Locate nearest empanelled hospital in West Bengal via the PM-JAY hospital locator
- Carry Aadhaar card and ration card to the hospital's Ayushman Mitra desk
- Hospital staff verify eligibility and issue Ayushman Card on the spot
- Treatment begins immediately on a cashless basis
- For Ayushman Card pre-generation: visit nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) in West Bengal
