📋 Scheme Overview

Lakhpati Didi is a national mission targeting 3 crore women Self-Help Group (SHG) members to earn a sustainable annual household income of at least ₹1 lakh. In West Bengal, where Paschim Banga Society for Skill Developments (PBSSD) and MGNREGS have strong SHG networks, Lakhpati Didi provides skill training in high-demand trades — LED bulb making, plumbing, drone piloting, agri-tech — along with bank credit linkage and market access, transforming SHG women into micro-entrepreneurs.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

  • Women who are active members of a Self-Help Group (SHG) under DAY-NRLM in West Bengal
  • SHG must be linked to a Village Organisation (VO) and Cluster Level Federation (CLF)
  • Priority: women from SC/ST households, BPL families, and landless households
  • Current annual income below ₹1 lakh (target is to raise it above ₹1 lakh)

🎁 Benefits & Features

  • Free skill training in 3-4 livelihood activities per woman (LED assembly, plumbing, agri, drone, etc.)
  • Bank credit linkage: SHG loans from ₹5 lakh to ₹20 lakh at subsidised interest rates
  • Market linkage: products sold via SHG federations, government procurement, and e-commerce platforms
  • Convergence with MGNREGS, PM Awas, and agricultural support for multiple income streams
  • Recognition as "Lakhpati Didi" with certificate upon crossing ₹1 lakh annual income
  • Mentorship by existing Lakhpati Didis for peer learning
