📋 Scheme Overview
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) provides ₹6,000 per year in three instalments of ₹2,000 directly to the bank accounts of landholding farmer families. West Bengal farmers can self-register on the PM-KISAN portal with their land records and Aadhaar. The scheme eliminates middlemen, providing timely income support for purchasing seeds, fertilisers, and other agricultural inputs before each crop season.

- Landholding farmer families in West Bengal with cultivable land in their name
- Applicable to small, marginal, and large farmers
- Both rural and urban farmer families eligible
- Excluded: institutional landholders, government employees, income taxpayers, retired pensioners above ₹10,000/month

📝 How to Apply — Step by Step
- Visit pmkisan.gov.in and click "New Farmer Registration"
- Select Rural or Urban farmer and enter your Aadhaar number
- Fill in state (West Bengal), district, sub-district, block, and village
- Enter land record details (Khatian number, Plot number from WB land records)
- Provide bank account number linked to Aadhaar
- Submit and note your registration number
- Alternatively, visit the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or Block Agriculture Officer for assisted registration
- Check status at pmkisan.gov.in under "Beneficiary Status"
